Many other wine enthusiasts were enjoying the dinner. Merrill provided us with the recipe for the second course, a yummy cold soup with seasonal fruits.\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The Strawberry\/Watermelon Soup was paired with Messina Hof, Sophia Marie Ros\u00e9 2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Below is the recipe for Strawberry\/Watermelon Soup. It appears to be an easy recipe to make and would make a wonderful cold soup for a hot day.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><b>Strawberry Watermelon Soup<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><i>Ingredients for Soup Base<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Watermelon puree<br \/>\nStrawberry puree<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Directions for Soup Base<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. Mix and chill<br \/>\n2. If you need a little sweeter add a small amount of simple syrup to your taste<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Ingredients for Cr\u00e8me Fraiche<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 c heavy cream<br \/>\n\u00bc c buttermilk<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Directions for Cr\u00e8me Fraiche<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. Mix together and cover.<br \/>\n2. Allow to sit overnight on counter. It will naturally thicken on its own.<br \/>\n3.
