Frequently the winery you are visiting has a crockpot of warm\/hot mulled wine behind the counter awaiting visitors.<\/p>\n<p>While some wineries bottle a mulled wine, my favorite mulled wines are made with a bottle of red wine, spices and fruit.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to create mulled wine to enjoy at home or when guests are about to visit, check out the recipes below.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Holidays!<br \/>\nKathy<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<b>Chatham Hill Hot Mulled Christmas Red Wine<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 bottle Chatham Hill Christmas Red Wine<br \/>\n1 cinnamon stick<br \/>\n1 t whole allspice<br \/>\n6 whole cloves<br \/>\n1 T orange juice<br \/>\n\u00bc t ground cinnamon<br \/>\n\u00bc C sugar<\/p>\n<p>Note: Chatham Hill Christmas Red Wine is a semi-sweet red wine.<\/p>\n<p><b>Directions<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. Heat one bottle of Chatham Hill Christmas Red Wine in a crock pot (recommended) or a non-reactive saucepan over low to medium heat (do NOT bring to a boil).<br \/>\n2. Stir in remaining ingredients and continue to heat gently until sugar is dissolved.<br \/>\n3. Serve in coffee mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick.<\/p>\n<p>Recipe rovided by <a href=\"http:\/\/chathamhillwine.com\">Chatham Hill Winery<\/a>, North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Glouvine (Vin Gewurtz)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 bottle Lemberger wine<br \/>\n10 oz water<br \/>\n2 cinnamon sticks<br \/>\n1 oz Mulling Spices w\/out sugar tied in cheese cloth to a cork<br \/>\n1 small orange covered with whole cloves<br \/>\n\u00bd c brown sugar (more or less to taste)<br \/>\n2 Prunes (optional-Austrian version)<\/p>\n<p><b>Directions<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. Place everything except wine into a saucepan and bring to a boil.<br \/>\n2. Pour into a crock pot and put on low (do not let boil).<br \/>\n3. Add Lemberger and serve as guests\/family arrive. Optionally, leave out the brown sugar and serve with the brown sugar bowl to allow guests to sweeten to their own preference.<\/p>\n<p>Recipe provided by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cottonwoodcellars.com\">Cottonwood Cellars<\/a> Olathe, Colorado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Mulled Wine Recipe from Black Star Farms<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1 bottle Black Star Farms Hard Apple Cider<br \/>\n6 oz. water<br \/>\n\u00bd c sugar<br \/>\n\u00bd t cinnamon<br \/>\n\u00bc t ground cloves<br \/>\na couple sprinkles of ground nutmeg<\/p>\n<p><b>Notes<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. Combine all ingredients into saucepan and give it a good stirring.<br \/>\n2. Heat gently (for approx. 30 minutes), but do not boil, and do not stir again.<br \/>\n3. Skim off the spices on top, serve and enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>Recipe provided by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackstarfarms.com\">Black Star Farms<\/a>, Suttons Bay, Michigan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<b>Mulled Wine Recipe<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon<br \/>\n1\/2 &#8211; 1 c sugar depending on how sweet you want it<br \/>\n1 orange sliced<br \/>\nwhole cloves<br \/>\none can of orange juice concentrate<br \/>\n1 c water<br \/>\n1 t cinnamon<br \/>\n2 cinnamon sticks<br \/>\n1\/2 c apricot brandy<\/p>\n<p><b>Directions<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. To a crock pot add the wine.<br \/>\n2. Add the sugar and stir.<br \/>\n3. Slice an orange and quarter. Stick whole cloves into the orange skin and add to the crock pot.<br \/>\n4. Mix the orange juice concentrate with one cup of water and add to the crock pot.<br \/>\n5. Add other ingredients to crock pot.<br \/>\n6.
