We started in the lounge at the airport with champagne. On board the IcelandAir flight to Reykjavik, we were served a\u00a0 Mont Marcal Cava Reserva. The last session at the International Wine Tourism Conference is a presentation by next year&#8217;s conference host. Catalonia, Spain is the land of Cava. Perhaps we will taste a cava or two at the closing of this year\u2019s conference.<\/p>\n<p>The winery, Mont Marcal was established in 1975 in the Penrd\u00e9s region of Catalonia. The yellow colored wine was a blend of Xarel\u00b7lo, Macabeo and Chardonnay. There was freshly baked bread aromas along with apple.
