Save the Children is an organization that recognizes the needs of children. They are a charity organization, receiving an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, that focuses on making positive changes for children in 120 countries including the United States. Numerous organizations work with Save the Children by hosting events.<\/p>\n
An IRONMAN<\/a> event is scheduled on Maryland\u2019s Eastern Shore for October 3rd. This special event supports the Save the Children organization.<\/p>\n The Save the Children<\/a> organization was supported by my niece Kathy who passed away from leukemia three years ago. Kathy always had a special interest in helping children from an early age. I mention this because her brother David, in honor of his sister Kathy, has been training intensely for months to participate in the Maryland Ironman. David\u2019s story is on the Save the Children website<\/a>.<\/p>\n In his writeup David includes this inspiring paragraph, \u201cSave the Children is a non-profit organization that invests in children each and every day, in times of crisis and for the future. In the U.S.A. and around the world, they give children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. By transforming children’s lives now, we change the course of their future\u2026and ours.\u201d<\/p>\n
