Yesterday Kathy and I attended a walk around tasting of Bordeaux varietal wines, mostly Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a session in the Paso Robles Cab Collective\u2019s event called CABs of Distinction. Taking the advice of New York Times wine writer Eric Asimov, I wrote haikus for several of the wines rather than traditional wine notes.<\/p>\n

Opolo winery haiku:
\nRuby Opolo
\nVery fruity soft tannins
\nA kiss from the vine<\/i><\/p>\n

Parrish Family winery haiku:
\nParrish Family
\nBlack fruited Petite Verdot
\nBold kissing tannins\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Rotta Winery haiku:

The Farm Winery haiku:
