In our garden the chard over-wintered from last fall and now it is thriving. If you have a good supply of fresh chard or other greens, try this recipe provided by Mirassou Winery in California. You may want to try this recipe for Mother&#8217;s Day!<\/p>\n<p><b>Wilted Greens with Pinot Noir Pears<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Prep time: 10 minutes.<br \/>\nCook time: 25 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ingredients<\/b><\/p>\n<p>2 strips bacon<br \/>\n2 pears, cored and cut into wedges<br \/>\n1 tablespoon honey<br \/>\n1 teaspoon sherry vinegar<br \/>\n1\/2 cup Mirassou California Pinot Noir<br \/>\n6 cups chopped greens such as red Swiss chard<br \/>\nSalt and freshly ground pepper to taste<br \/>\n1\/2 cup crumbled blue cheese<\/p>\n<p><b>Directions<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp.
