If you have followed along, you may remember that we were not particularly impressed with the wine a month after we bottled it. That\u2019s okay. We knew we should really wait longer before drinking it, but hey it was our \u201cfirst.\u201d<span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>We were actually treating it like a couple\u2019s first baby. Feeding it with nutrients. Monitoring it. Removing the lees (I suppose equivalent to changing a diaper). In any event, near Christmas we tried another bottle of it and were pleasantly surprised. The wine seemed to be fruitier with a smoother body.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">This week the wine has matured even more and was very enjoyable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">With summer fresh fruit available soon, I am looking forward to making a cherry or peach fruit wine. As mentioned in yesterday\u2019s blog, making your own wine can be a recession proof measure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Cheers!
