Garofalo Artisan Liqueurs in Winchester, VA<\/p><\/div>\n

Last year we visited wineries and distilleries in Virginia\u2019s Shenandoah region. One of those is the unique Garofalo Artisan Liqueurs which is producing several yummy liqueurs. They have a very unique story which dates back to the\u00a0 founder\u2019s grandmother who made liqueurs and wine during Prohibition. Francesca Inzero developed a Walnut Liqueur\u00a0 which her grandson Dick Garofalo began to replicate and offer for sale. Dick expanded the variety of infused spirits. Unfortunately Dick passed away in 2016 and at the time of our visit his business partner Dana Norris was seeking to increase production and distribution. <\/b>Negroni Francesa<\/b><\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/em><\/p>\n

1 oz Francesa
\n1 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin or other top shelf gin
\n1 oz Campari
\nIce<\/p>\n

Directions<\/em><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Add ingredients and stir with ice.<\/li>\n
  2. Serve up or on rocks with orange twist.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/b> Midnight Manhattan<\/b><\/p>\n

    Ingredients<\/em><\/p>\n

    2 oz Knob Creek or other top shelf Bourbon
    \n1 oz Francesca
    \nDash of orange bitters<\/p>\n

    Directions<\/em><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Stir with ice.<\/li>\n
    2. Serve up with brandied cherry garnish<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      <\/b> The Boutonniere<\/b><\/p>\n

      Ingredients<\/em><\/p>\n

      2 oz single Malt Scotch
      \n1 oz Francesca
      \nDash of orange bitters<\/p>\n

      Directions<\/em><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Optional: Serve up with candied kumquat garnish<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        <\/b> 209 Harvest<\/b><\/p>\n

        Ingredients<\/em><\/p>\n

        1\/2 oz Edge Hill Port
        \n1\/2 oz Francesa
        \n1 1\/2 oz Dry Gin
        \nOrange wedge<\/p>\n

        Directions<\/em><\/p>\n

          \n
        1. Muddle with orange wedge and shake over ice.<\/li>\n
        2. Serve in a martini glass with orange wheel garnish.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Raincoat<\/b><\/p>\n

          Ingredients<\/em><\/p>\n

          1 oz Francesca
          \n1 oz Evan Williams or other top shelf Bourbon
          \n1\/2 t Monin almond syrup<\/p>\n

          Directions<\/em><\/p>\n

          1. Stir with ice.
          \n2. Serve in chilled Martini glass with freshly grated cinnamon floater<\/p>\n
