Wine and garlic lovers are likely to enjoy this unusual yearly festival.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_14424\" style=\"width: 152px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-14424\" class=\"size-full wp-image-14424\" src=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/peaksofotter5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"142\" height=\"216\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-14424\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Peaks of Otter Winery produces an unusual wine &#8211; Chili Dawg<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Wine enthusiasts can look forward to enjoying wines from several Virginia wineries that include: Rebec Vineyards, Peaks of Otter Winery, Lazy Days Winery, Rockbridge Vineyard, Hill Top Berry Farm &amp; Winery, Burnley Vineyards, Mountain Cove Vineyards, The Homeplace Vineyard, Virginia Mountain Vineyard and Cobbler Mountain Cidery. Check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/virginia\/virginia.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reviews<\/a> we wrote about several\u00a0of these participating Virginia wineries.<\/p>\n<p>A variety of foods will also be available and some of the foods may satisfy the garlic urge you have. Food vendors\u00a0will include: Over the Moon Pizza, D &amp; J Concessions, Nader\u2019s Bistro and Grill, N.C. Ribs on Wheels, Family Grill, Grapevine Restaurant, International Grill Co. and Sherri\u2019s Crab Cakes.<\/p>\n<p>Entertainment will be provided by several music groups.\u00a0If you enjoy contests, the Junior Garlic Queen and Garlic Queen will be chosen. These contests involve a talent contest. According to the description the performance should have a garlic theme and a costume if possible.<\/p>\n<p>Children who attend can enjoy the Bounce House, Sunshine the Clown, pony rides and more.<\/p>\n<p><b>Volunteers are Needed<\/b><\/p>\n<p>It takes more than 200 volunteers to host the Wine &amp; Garlic Festival. Three 5-hour shifts are available. Choose Saturday from 12:30PM to 5:30PM, Sunday 8:00AM to 1:00PM or 12:30PM to 5:30PM.\u00a0 If you can volunteer for one of these time slots, send an email to Leigh at \u00a0<a href=\"mailto:lpigg@bbandt.com\">lpigg@bbandt.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Vendors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is still time to secure a vendor spot for this October\u2019s festival.
