Sattui Winery in Napa<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Saturday, June 9 is National Ros\u00e9 Day!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Do you have a ros\u00e9 wine waiting to be enjoyed so you can celebrate National Ros\u00e9 Day? If not, check with your neighborhood winery to see if they are producing a ros\u00e9 wine. Many ros\u00e9s are delicious as aperitifs while others pair delightfully with a variey of foods including poultry, fish and salads.<\/p>\n<p><em>History of National Ros\u00e9 Day<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bodvarrose.com\/national-rose-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bodv\u00e1r, House of Ros\u00e9s <\/a>developed the concept if a National Ros\u00e9 Day for the United States.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>They selected the second Saturday of June for the annual event. According to the Bodv\u00e1r website, \u201cOur goal is to raise awareness and give Ros\u00e9 lovers a day to celebrate with &#8216;summer\u2019s water&#8217; all over the world.\u201d June 13, 2015 was the first annual National Ros\u00e9 Day.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Traditionally ros\u00e9s are produced by exposing the juice of the grapes to the grape skins for a limited amount of time. Even a few minutes of skin contact will begin to tint the juice. The longer the skin contact, the darker the final wine. Light ros\u00e9s are particularly good for summer as the ros\u00e9s are not as intense and the mouthfeel is lighter.
