Two-day itineraries that feature wineries, maps and lodging options are available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/itineraries\/tripitineraries.php\">Wine Trail Traveler<\/a> website. In celebration of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.drinklocalwine.com\/\">Drink Local Wine<\/a> week, we are focusing our attention on Maryland and Virginia. These itineraries focus on several interstates. In Maryland the itineraries are based on wineries along <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/itineraries\/i70md.php\">Interstate 70<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/itineraries\/i83mdpa.php\">Interstate 83<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/itineraries\/i95md.php\">Interstate 95<\/a>. Four itineraries are available for Virginia. Three are based on areas of Interstate 66 and <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/itineraries\/charlottesvilleva1.php\">Charlottesville South<\/a>. Interstate 66 was divided into <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/itineraries\/i66va.php\">East<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/itineraries\/i66va2.php\">Central<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/itineraries\/i66va3.php\">West<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These itineraries are suggestions and flexible. Maryland and Virginia wineries are great places to explore the world of wine including the terroir that each region offers.<\/p>\n<p>As you explore the wineries in Maryland and Virginia, take notes on what differences you discover with the same varietal. Try to determine what influenced the different styles.
