According to their website, this is the first distillery to open in Virginia since Prohibition. The distillery is certified organic and kosher.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, we heard about a distillery, Catoctin Creek, in Virginia. The Pearousia Limited Pear Brandy was made in collaboration with Fabbioli Cellars, a Virginia winery. With 40 percent alcohol, the alcohol was noticed immediately upon taste, pear nuances developed as one sipped the brandy.
