While George Washington did not cut down a cherry tree, somehow cherries are perfect for February. It&#8217;s still winter and summer is months away but cherries can bring a delightful memory of summer. The recipe below calls for white wine and two cups of pitted sweet cherries.<\/p>\n<p>Several other recipes that use cherries can be found at<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/recipes\/food.php<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Enjoy, Kathy<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Cherry Mustard Chicken<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Servings: 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1-1\/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken<br \/>\nsalt and black pepper<br \/>\nflour<br \/>\n3 T butter<br \/>\n3 T olive oil<br \/>\n1 c white wine<br \/>\n1 c chicken broth<br \/>\n\u00bc c Dijon mustard<br \/>\n2 T cornstarch<br \/>\n2 T balsamic vinegar<br \/>\n1 T water<br \/>\n2 c pitted sweet cherries<br \/>\n\u00bc c sliced green onion<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, then lightly toss in flour; shake off excess.<\/li>\n<li>Heat half the butter and oil in large skillet over medium heat; add half the chicken.<\/li>\n<li>Cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is golden and cooked through.
