NYC is not particularly driver friendly and we do try to avoid it when possible. So I found this email from Laurel Lake Vineyards to be interesting and wondering how many other wineries near metropolitan areas are encouraging visitors by providing transportation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Long Island Wine Country.com<\/span> is having its 11<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Harvest Fest at <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.llwines.com\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Laurel Lake Vineyards<\/span><\/a><\/span> on September 23. Those living in NYC, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk can have transportation provided. Tickets for the festival are priced at $135 for those who want to drive and $149 for those who want transportation provided. Tickets are available at <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.longislandwinecountry.com\/harvest.html\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">http:\/\/www.longislandwinecountry.com\/harvest.html<\/span><\/a><\/span> . The price difference for transportation seems reasonable to me. Wouldn\u2019t it be great to visit a festival and know you do not have to drive back home?<\/p>\n<p>The Harvest Fest Luncheon Menu includes:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Artisan Cheeses with Charcuterie<br \/>\n\u2022Peaches Stuffed With Goat Cheese<br \/>\n\u2022Roasted Tomatoes, Arugula Beef Brochettes<br \/>\n\u2022Melon, Mint &amp; Feta Platter<br \/>\n\u2022Roasted Local Corn W\/ Smoked Sea Salt Butter<br \/>\n\u2022Red Wine &amp; Rosemary Pork Loin Roasted In Grape Leaves Over Vine Cuttings<br \/>\n\u2022White Grape &amp; Shallot Roasted Chicken With Summer Squash<br \/>\n\u2022Ice Box\u00a0Brownies &amp; Assorted Cookies<\/p>\n<p>As I mentioned earlier, I really would like to know if other wineries near cities provided transportation for special events.
