The number of wineries and vineyards in Maryland is continuing to increase and quality is also increasing. If you don&#8217;t know Maryland wines, this is the time to discover them.<\/p>\n<p>Wine lovers are likely to discover Maryland wines they will enjoy with dinners or as aperitifs. Maryland vineyards are able to grow different types of wine grapes that include vitis vinifera, hybrids and vitis labrusca. Maryland producers are also making meads, fruit wines and hard ciders.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you are visiting Maryland or live in Maryland, use Maryland Wine Week to explore Maryland wines at wineries, wine shops and restaurants. If you visit a wine shop or restaurant and you don\u2019t see Maryland wine mentioned ask, \u201cWhy not?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Special features to look for during Maryland Wine Week<\/em><\/p>\n<p>According to an email from Briana at the Maryland Wineries Association, \u201cRestaurants, wine shops, wine bars, and hotels across the state will be pairing up with local wineries to promote and serve local Maryland wine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Special events include Ellicott City\u2019s Sip, Shiver, and Stroll and a Progressive Dinner in Frederick.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the locations celebrating Maryland Wine Week include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wit &amp; Wisdom in Baltimore<\/li>\n<li>Johnny\u2019s in Roland Park<\/li>\n<li>Red Red Wine Bar in Annapolis<\/li>\n<li>Baldwin\u2019s Station in Sykesville<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Beer Wine &amp; Co in Chevy Chase<\/li>\n<li>Wine World Beer &amp; Spirits in Abingdon<\/li>\n<li>AIDA Bistro &amp; Wine Bar in Columbia<\/li>\n<li>The Imperial Hotel in Chestertown<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Check out the complete list at Maryland Wine Week.
