It sounds like a terrific wine festival. Put it on your calendar for next year!<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">&#8220;Just got back from a wonderful music and wine festival in Floyd, Virginia.\u00a0 Many of the wineries from the Roanoke and Blacksburg areas were there, including our favorite, Valhalla winery.\u00a0 Valhalla offered an extra tasting of their reserve wines for $10 which was well worth the price, as they were show-casing their anniversary 1998 wines to prove how well they aged!\u00a0 They have a wonderful selection of reds and whites.\u00a0 Other favorite wineries there were Horton, Am Rhein and Veritas.\u00a0 Additionally, there was winery (\u201cHot Dawg\u201d) that produced chilli pepper wine, served by guys who could have played for the band ZZ Top!!!\u00a0 They were excellent entertainment (and the wine was a lot of fun to drink, even if it would never be considered a fine wine).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The music was excellent, and the main stage is a beautiful wooden structure set on the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains.\u00a0 It made for a perfect day!!!\u00a0 Hope you will consider going next year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" class=\"owbutton\" src=\"http:\/\/www.onlywire.com\/button\" title=\"Music & Wine Festival, Floyd, VA\" url=\"http:\/\/winetrailtraveler.com\/blog\/?p=84\"><\/script>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I received this email from my niece in Virginia.
