Wine Trail Traveler, LLC Receives Gold Award
from World Wide Web Awards

Columbia, MD – December 6, 2007 – The Wine Trail Traveler, LLC website received a Gold Award from World Wide Web Awards in December 2007. Wine Trail Traveler fills a unique void in the wine industry by offering views of wineries from a personal viewpoint. According to World Wide Web Awards, the www.winetrailtraveler.com website displays: “a clean and organized design, user friendliness, quality content and informative information for your visitors.”

Wine Trail Traveler visited 155 wineries during 2007 photographing and writing detailed information about each winery. The team has visited wineries in California, Maryland, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Italy and England. A winemaker in Pennsylvania referred to the website as a “virtual winery and vineyard visitor center.”

Wine Trail Traveler is pleased to receive the Gold Award after only 11 months online. The team intends to add more content and visit more wineries in 2008.

Wine Trail Traveler offers additional information for the wine beginner and wine enthusiast including “gentle” wine education and recipes donated by wineries that use wine as an ingredient. Education takes various forms including a short video for beginning wine tasters, articles about educational opportunities, wine centers and museum reviews and learning modules. Learning modules are short three minute presentations on wine making such as: the vineyard, the harvest, crushing and pressing, winemaking, sparkling wines and barrel making. A growing glossary is also online. Visitors are encouraged to participate in the forum. A monthly free online newsletter is available for website visitors.
