Wineries Unlimited Trade Show and Conference
The Wineries Unlimited Trade Show and Conference is the largest annual winery and vineyard conference east of the Rockies. The conferences began in 1976 started by Winery and Management Magazine. The conferences were held, usually during March, in the Philadelphia area. In 2012 the conference will take blace in Richmond, Virginia.
Where does a grower or winemaker go to learn about their craft? There are university courses and degrees; even community colleges in wine regions are offering courses. However, for many, colleges are too far to travel and courses and degrees require alot of time. Some winemakers learn their craft the centuries old way of working as an apprentice to a master winemaker. Others learn their craft by reading books. Many attend conferences and seminars that help to fine-tune their craft. Wineries Unlimited offers seminars that can help educate winemakers, growers and tasting room personnel.
Not only are there educational seminars offered, but also many attend the Trade Show to see new equipment and learn about new winemaking methods and vineyard practices. It is not unusual for winemakers or vineyard managers to drive a pick-up truck to the conference in hopes of getting a deal on equipment. The trade show also attracts vendors that have supplies for tasting rooms. Attendees learn about products from vendors and the vendors learn what attendees are interested in purchasing and what their needs are for the vineyard, winery and tasting room.
