Title: Sherried Walnuts
1 ½ c brown sugar
¼ t salt
¼ c Galleano Sherry
2T light corn syrup
3 ½ c walnut halves
(pecans can be substituted)
1. Blend brown sugar, salt, sherry and corn syrup until smooth.
2. Stir in walnuts, mixing until all are well coated.
3. Roll nuts in granulated sugar until lightly frosted and place on waxed paper to dry.
This is a great no cooking recipe. The nuts are wonderful by themselves, or sprinkled over ice cream or cheesecake.
