Title: Steamed Mussels
1 bottle Silver Trail Winery Chardonnay
1. In the bottom of a large pot, sauté some minced garlic and finely chopped shallots in a cube of butter.
2. Add your mussels and pour in 1 bottle of Silver Trail Winery Chardonnay.
3. Steam the mussels in the Chardonnay juice until they fully open on their own (usually around 20 minutes).
4. Serve the mussels with a nice cold glass of Chardonnay.
DON'T THROW OUT THE JUICE! It makes an excellent dipping sauce for bread or use it as a base for a seafood chowder.
