Niagara Wine Festival in late September features many of the Niagara wineries. The Niagara Wine Festival this year offers a Niagara Wine Festival Discovery Pass good for September 22, 23, 29 and 30. The pass gives tickets holds access to wine and culinary adventures with six experiences per pass. (More than 30 wineries to choose from.) All of this for $30 plus HST.
Wine and food adventures include:
- a Riesling paired with slides of roasted peameal bacon drizzled with maple syrup with caramelized onions (Cattail Creek Estate Winery)
- Cabernet Franc paired with lasagna in Bolognese sauce (Colaneri Estate Winery)
- Merlot paired with French onion soup (Hinterbrook Estate Winery)
- wines paired with artisan cheese on a locally made baguette (Pondview Estate Winery)
- Sangria paired with cheese and harvested grapes at (Riverview Cellar Estate Winery)
- wines paired with a rustic mushroom tart (The Good Earth Food & Wine Co.)

We are in our third visit to Canada’s beautiful Niagara region. We’ve discovered large wineries and boutique wineries all with something different to offer wine lovers. Niagara is also one of the easiest wine regions for visitors to reach wineries; wineries are just minutes apart.
