We enjoyed our visit to southern California where we visited numerous wineries in Temecula. In addition our trip included wineries in San Diego County and in the Cucamonga Valley. For the most part we stayed at in Temecula with a couple of special nights at Pechanga Resort & Casino that claims to be the largest casino west of the Mississippi.

The wineries in Temecula were quick and easy to get to with many located on Rancho California Road and DePortola Road or nearby. Be sure to visit the small wineries as well as the large wineries that have restaurants.

We enjoyed a hot air balloon ride available at California Dreamin’, a jazz concert at Thornton Winery, two media luncheons (Tesoro Winery and Thornton Winery) and olive oil tastings.
