White Riesling 2008

Chateau Fontaine Vineyard & Winery is located on Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula. The winery has 27.5 acres of grapevines onsite. Varieties include Seyval, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. In addition to the red and white wines produced, the winery also produces a cherry fruit wine.

Last night we enjoyed the White Riesling 2008, dry white table wine. It was a bright color almost clear with a touch of yellow. The aroma was of floral and fruit notes. The taste had peach nuances and was smooth. There was a very slight effervescence on the wine but was delightfully refreshing. The crisp finish was fruity. This wine would easily pair with fish and chicken entrées.

Cheers! Kathy
