Catoctin Creek Distilling Company is located just outside Washington, DC in Purcellville, Virginia. According to their website, this is the first distillery to open in Virginia since Prohibition. The distillery is certified organic and kosher.

Yesterday, we heard about a distillery, Catoctin Creek, in Virginia. The Pearousia Limited Pear Brandy was made in collaboration with Fabbioli Cellars, a Virginia winery. With 40 percent alcohol, the alcohol was noticed immediately upon taste, pear nuances developed as one sipped the brandy. The label created for the Pearousia was delightful as it features a large, ripe pear at the forefront of a map showing Catoctin Creek.
