Recently we enjoyed a Petite Sirah produced by McNab Ridge Winery. The dark ruby red wine paired well with tomato-based pasta. A hint of licorice was noticeable. Other attributes included fruit notes and tannins.
McNab Ridge Winery is located in Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County is frequently referred to as the world’s greenest region. McNab Ridge Winery is in Ukiah while the tasting room is in Hopland, CA. The winery has four categories of wine: McNab Ridge, McNab Ridge Family Reserve, Zellerbach and Fun Bunch. Wine varieties include Chardonnay, Merlot, Roussanne, French Colombard, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendo Zinfandel and Coro.
