Lorgeril Ô de Rosé, AOP Languedoc

Lorgeril Ô de Rosé
Lorgeril Ô de Rosé, AOP Languedoc

We received a bottle of this Rosé from IT Public Relations in New York City to review. Upon opening the shipping box, we were immediately impressed by two items. The first was the very modern and elegant looking bottle of Lorgeril Ô de Rosé, AOP Languedoc. The wine bottle offered slanted sides and was sealed with a glass stopper. The second item that impressed us was a rosé drinking glass with the Ô de Rosé logo. We have been reviewing wines for nearly twenty years and this was the second time we received a wine glass to go with the wine. We refrigerated the wine. When cool I took a dish towel and turned and wiggled the glass stopper. It came out with a little effort. This was not my first experience with glass stoppers.

The Ô de Rosé had a salmon color. It was mostly a blend of Grenache and Syrah with a splash of Viognier. The wine had a very elegant aroma of flowers and fruit. The taste offered several notes of roses, honeysuckle, red raspberries, strawberries, citrus and a touch of mineral. The finish was crisp and refreshing. This wine was perfect for our 90 plus weather we have been experiencing during the summer of 2024 in Central Maryland.
