Catoctin Breeze Vineyard, Maryland

This weekend Thurmont, Maryland is celebrating its 50^th Catoctin Colorfest.  This event is a large arts and crafts juried event. More than 200 vendors are planning to participate in the Colorfest this year.

Arts and Crafts include so many categories. Look for

• Wood crafts
• Jewelry
• Needlework
• Watercolors
• Pottery/ceramics
• Photography

Craft demonstrations will take place including wood turnings, wood flower carvings and broom making.

Plenty of food vendors will also participate in Colorfest. Look for apple dumplings, ice cream, hot dogs, shrimp, fries, fish and chips, barbeque, sausage and more.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and there will be plenty of time to visit the many, many vendors. Make your time in Thurmont extra special by stopping at Thurmont’s winery, Catoctin Breeze Vineyard, just off of US 15. The winery will open at Noon and stay open until 6pm on Saturday. Enjoy live music, wine and cheese. Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle. Catoctin Breeze recently released their Reserve Cabernet Franc 2012.

Catoctin Breeze is a friendly winery. They are even encouraging people to bring snacks with them to enjoy with Catoctin Breeze wines.
