The holiday season is over and for some the January doldrums may set in. However, if you are looking to stave off the winter doldrums consider visiting some wineries. Numerous wineries have fireplaces aglow adding a warm and cheery place to spend some time. Some wineries may have limited hours during the winter so be sure to check with a winery before traveling to it.
If travel is a problem and you still want something special for a cold winter day consider the offer by Tarara Winery in Virginia. Tarara has a special offer, Winter Warm-Up 2011. They will ship you two bottles of wine (Long-Bomb 1 and Long-Bomb 2) and include Tarara staff favorite chili recipes. So if you prefer, stay home, make chili and enjoy Tarara wine.
For special events at wineries, below is a list to get you started for the New Year.
Enjoy, Kathy
