If you have a free day this weekend June 11-12, consider attending the 40th Annual Spring Mountain Heritage Arts & Crafts Festival located a few miles from historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. In addition to music, arts & crafts, and food, visitors have the opportunity to taste wines from seven West Virginia wineries. Music is also a part of the festival.
This is a great event with numerous fine artists and arts & crafts vendors portraying their talents. While Terry went and talked with the winery staff at the wine tasting tents, I decided to scout out the vendors. The tents of vendors went on and on. If you shop throughout the year for Christmas and other gifts, this is a great event to attend.
The festival management has done great work in setting up the displays. Wineries are together in one area while nearby the arrangement of craft vendors makes it easy to browse and enjoy the many offerings. Wineries include Watts Roost Winery, Kenco Farms, Winery, Forks of Cheat Winery, West Whitehill Winery, Lambert’s Vintage Wines, Kirkwood Winery and Potomac Highland Winery.
This is the most reasonable price for an event of this size that we have seen. Tickets are seven dollars and a one dollar coupon is available online. Check out the Heritage Arts & Crafts Festival website and try to attend if you can.
This event is family friendly!
Cheers!
