OneHope Wine

Good causes abound and frequently I hear about a winery that supports a philanthropic cause.

OneHope Wine goes a step beyond. OneHope Wine is the concept of a group who were inspired to create an organization that would support various good causes. To that end they are bottling wine. For every bottle of wine sold 50 percent of the profit goes to support a particular cause.

Each label has a ribbon. Pink designates Breast Cancer Awareness, Green – global warming concerns (should they change that to global change?), Yellow – support our troops, a puzzle ribbon – autism awareness and a red ribbon – AIDS Awareness.

Each cause has its own variety. Zinfandel was chosen for troop support because it is considered the “All American Grape.” Cabernet Sauvignon supports autism awareness. Chardonnay was chosen to support the fight against breast cancer. Merlot supports AIDS Awareness. Sauvignon Blanc was the wine designated to support our planet.

OneHope Wines are available by shipping in 33 states. In 14 states you may be able to ask for One Hope wines in restaurants or stores.

Check out the OneHope Wine website and if you like what you see ask your favorite restaurant or store to make OneHope Wines available.

Cheers! Kathy
