No matter what time of year you visit Oregon, you will find wineries that are open and cater to visitors.
Oregon is especially well known for Pinot Noir and and Pinot Gris. Amongst the many white grape varieties growing in its prolific vineyards are: Chardonnay, Gweürtraminer, Riesling and Semillon. Also be sure to look for Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Zinfandel.
