Discovering a Virginia Winery for Sale

On our way to Savoy-Lee Vineyard & Winery in Bedford County, VA we saw a sign indicating a winery was for sale. To our surprise we discovered that the Savoy-Lee winery was for sale. We enjoyed our visit with David Wood, owner, of the winery.

The tasting room is adjacent to a good-size event area. The winery was built below the tasting room and benefits from being built partially underground. The winery has the capacity of producing 5,000 to 6,000 cases per year. Vineyards started in 2001 are located about one mile from the winery and tasting room. The vineyards include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sangiovese and Traminette.

Located in Huddleston, Virginia, Savoy-Lee Vineyard & Winery is located on 117 acres of property. The sale includes land, winery, home and a 7-acre stocked lake. The sale also includes current wines in the winery as well as equipment for both the winery and vineyard.

The current listing price is $1,680,000. Owning a winery is about a life style; is it for you? If it is, visit http://www.savoy-lee.info/.

Cheers! Kathy
