There are lots of Halloween and regular winery events this weekend! This list also includes winery events for the weekend that may not be related to Halloween but may be just what you are looking for.
Check them out to verify the event and time. If you’re not able to visit one of these wineries, check out a winery in your own backyard.

Canadian Wines Sold in China
Have you noticed that when you go shopping at the malls or stand-alone stores, that the majority of items seem to be made outside of the US? Occasionally, there will be goods from Korea, Thailand, India and other countries but by far it appears that most are from China.
An article about wine sold in China got me to looking at things from the other side of the coin. How many US goods are sold in China?
According to an article in The Standard, “Ontario wineries wooing Chinese consumers,” Canada is selling to Chinese consumers. While visiting Ontario wineries we had discovered that visitors from China enjoyed purchasing Canadian Ice Wine. This article notes that Canadian wines are sold in China.
The author, Monique Beech, wrote “China is among the key export markets for Canadian wineries, second only to the United States. In the fiscal year ending August 2010, Canadian wineries sales were $4.3 million in the Chinese market, up from $2.5 million in 2007.”
Where is the United States in terms of selling wines to China?
Cheers! Kathy
